Before you start please note that if you have a prepayment meter(s) installed at the property we cannot help you. Prepayment meters tend to be more expensive and are a lot more hassle, so it may well be worth your while to get these changed. To do this first of all you need to get permission from your landlord. Then you need to contact your Gas and Electricity supplier. They will usually require that you have lived at the property for at least a month and they may ask for a credit check. Sometimes there is a charge as well.
